CAMERON

This family found themselves at a loss when they moved into their new Ohio home. They loved the space but had a hard time bridging the gap between their personal design aesthetic and the rooms' functional limitations. They requested a floor plan for their family room that included comfortable seating for up to five people, and a dual-purpose room that accommodated their musical instruments and offered seating for small gatherings. As avid travelers, they also asked that their collection of both artwork and native instruments from around the world be thoughtfully displayed.

The homeowners were not interested in making any structural changes in either space, so Houserman Design set out to create a furniture plan that met their needs without sacrificing function and flow. Taking the clients midcentury modern aesthetic into account, Courtney incorporated those style details into her 3D renderings so they could see their space come to life before making a purchase.
